The unique combination of 51% action, 49% love helps Shiri become a movie that excites all strands of the audience's sensibility without a moment of relaxation!" The preceding paragraph was not just box-cover hype. This film delivers from start to finish. / Beginning with a hyper-condensed "montage" in which North Korean special forces trainees are put through arduous obstacle courses, rainstorms, and high pressure, tightly timed shooting tests, as well as a brutal assault on bodies tied to stakes, writer-director Kang Je-Gyu lays out in stunning shorthand all the backstory you'll need for the scary assassin, Hee (Yunjin Kim). / Ryu and Lee are special agents of O.P., the nation's top secret intelligence service. The arms smuggler Lim is shot by a sniper int he street one day after volunteering to tell them some important information. Meanwhile, Park and the elite agents of the 8th Special Force succeed in seizing the CTX while it is being transported to the corps headquarters. While everyone is trying hard to retrieve the CTX, director Ko, Ryu, and Lee are suspicious of each other, creating a delicate and suspenseful situation. Title: Yesterday

Seoul, 2002. Title: Ardor
Director: Youngjoo Byeon
Main Cast: Yunjin Kim, Jongwon Lee
Genre: Romance
Year: 2002

Mi-heun (Yunjin Kim)'s life is shattered as a woman in red visits her home and claims herself as her husband's true love. As her family moves to a quiet town in the countryside to start a new life, Mi-heon meets a doctor int own who proposes her a simple but dangerous game. Though she tries to refuse him with all her might, she feels herself void of the power to resist and begins to fall into him with her entire body and soul. / Ardor painfully observes the disintegrating subjectivity of a once-content housewife, whose shell of a bourgeois nuclear family is smashed like an eggshell with absurd ease one night. The film, after establishing the background for Mi-heun's deterioration, moves away from the standard melodrama toward feminist grounds: its focus never strays away from Mi-heun and it dares the audience to feel her shattering headaches, experience the hellish ennui of her life with her husband, listen to the resonances and discordances Mi-heun's "inner music" produces with other women, including her mother and daughter, and taste the perky highs and petty disappointments of her love affair...
