Edvard Lindell

Edvard Lindell was born in 1876 in Sweden. In 1912 he was emigrating to America with his wife Gerda.

Edvard and his wife was among thoose that did not reach the boatdeck in time. They met up with fellow sweden August Wennerström and Gunnar Tenglin. And as the ship sank the group tried desperatly to hold fast to each other. They slid back and landed close to Collapsible A that was filled with water. Together August and Edvard tried to pull Gerda up into the lifeboat, but failed. Gerda was not wearing a lifebelt and sank when Wennerström was not able to hold on to her any longer. Edvards hair turned gray under less than half an hour according to Wennerström. Edvard held Gerdas wedding ring in his hand but dropped it in the boat. Edvard died only moments later. He was 36 years old, his wife Gerda only 30. Their bodies was never recovered and the ring later passed to Gerdas father in Sweden.
