Charlie DeMars moved in with his step-brother Steven Sellers. Charlie was then introduced to James Marsters. Charlie had no idea who James was, but they all hung out together. Charlie and James were playing guitar and writing songs when they got the brilliant idea to form a band. James and Charlie played a couple shows together before they invited Steve, Kevin McPherson and Aaron Anderson. to join the group.
After some concerts, Aaron Anderson decided to leave the band for a mission, as he called it. This was supposed to be a mission for two years. That's when Sean came in. When he was asked how he'd came involved with Ghost Of The Robot he answered: "I met bass player Kevin at university. We have a piano class together. He told me he had a band together and the drummer would soon be leaving. We talked about doing some rock dates and he gave me the band's CD to check out and I gave him one of mine. I then rehearsed with them and saw them in concert."
Their first single titled "Valerie"was released in August 2002. In November of that year their second single "David Letterman" released. Not long after that their first album was released on February 02, 2003. Then a new single got released in February 2004 with title "New man". A new CD titled "Gods of the Radio" was set to release in September..But on the 14th of June James Marsters announced that he had decided to dissolve the band. This happend shortly after their European Tour. This decission was the end for the band members of an almost two year during time together as a band. Charlie DeMars, Kevin McPherson and Steve Sellers formed a new band called "Gods of the Radio". But not long after that Kevin and Charlie left the band and only Steve sellers was left.
James also continiued playing music, but this time on his own. In March 2005 his first solo album, which will also have some songs from second Ghost of the Robot album on it, will be released.
