About Brilliantly James
On the 4th of April, 2003, we, Karin and Mara, decided to make a James Marsters site. We gave it the name 'Spike's Crib'. We had it hosted at freewebs.com. Since it was a free site we didn't had much space. So we decided to apply to be hosted at elitefanhost.com. After a while we got a reply that they wanted to host our site! This was in March 2004. But in July of that same year our host had a major downtime. After Brilliantly James had been down for five weeks, and we hadn't received a reply to our mails about what was going on from our host, we decided that our site had to move to somewhere else. Then we ran into fan-sites.org which we thought was an amazing site, we applied and a couple of days later we got a reply from Gertie saying that she would love to host us!When our site moved form freewebs to elitefanhost, we decided to change the name from Spike's Crib into Brilliantly James. We came up with this idea because we were watching the fantastic 'Angel' episode called'Hell Bound' together. We heard Spike say "Oh, brilliant". That's when came up with the idea to name this site Brilliantly James. It also refers to the debut album of James's band Ghost of the Robot which is titled 'Mad Brilliant'.
In July 2004 we organised a 'Happy Birthday James' project. Fans from all over the world were able to send us their happy birthday wishes, we got thousands of mails including poems, fanart, photo's and letters. We bundled all the letters and bought an oscar statue saying "Best Actor" and send them to James' manager. After a while James thanked everyone who send him their birthday wishes on his official site jamesmarsters.com.
We hope that you will enjoy your stay here.
