'Lost' Home Movies!

On the hit ABC series "Lost," the survivors of a horrific plane crash band together to try and make the best of their situation, with the hope of eventually being rescued from the mysterious island on which they find themselves.

In reality, though -- with the exception of some hot days and the occasional bug bite -- the cast and crew couldn't be more content. After all, how can they complain when they're "stuck" working in Hawaii?

Tonight on "The Insider," we catch up with some of the show's stars to reveal that, while their characters might have it rough, it's anything but for the folks who play them.

"I once wrote down that I wanted to live in Hawaii," says JORGE GARCIA, who portrays Hurley. "And it's awesome getting to do it as part of your job. It's like, this is what I get paid for? There ain't nothing like it."

On "Lost," Jorge's character is constantly assisting Jack, the good doctor played by MATTHEW FOX, through various crises. And it's obvious that the camaraderie that the two share on-screen is not just acting. As Jorge shows off the area where all the cast members' trailers are, known as "base camp," he heads into the sandwich bar and proceeds to make his friend something to eat since he is in the middle of shooting.

"The best thing is, Matt Fox and I will come here and I'll make his and he'll make mine because sandwiches always taste better when someone else makes them," explains Jorge.

After putting together a turkey, ham and cheese sandwich, "always cut in triangles," it's off to deliver the care package.

"All right, 'Insider.' Come get lost in the Hawaiian jungle," whispers Jorge as he leads our crew through the island's underbrush to where his co-star is rehearsing.

"I was explaining that one of the coolest things here is the sandwich bar and that sandwiches are always better when someone else makes it for you," says Jorge as he hands Matthew the one he's made for him.

"This is true," admits Matthew as they both laugh. "We have done this for each other. We've actually made them side by side and are like, 'what do you want on it?'"

"We play sandwich artist," jokes Jorge.

Like Jorge, veteran actor TERRY O'QUINN, whose disabled character, John Locke, is miraculously able to walk after the accident, shares his co-star's sentiments about their working conditions.

"It's beautiful. Living here is good. Living is easy," says O'Quinn while sipping on a Starbucks coffee. "I haven't had a pair of real shoes on in three months," he adds, pointing to his flip-flops. "It's pretty wild."

Speaking of wild, EVANGELINE LILLY is just as adventurous off-camera as her Kate is on. "I love the jungle scenes because I love climbing trees."

To prove it, the model-turned-actress scopes out the forest and finds one suitable for doing just that.

"That's a great climbing tree because there are plenty of places to put your hands and feet," Evangeline says, walking toward one of the biggest in the area. "If you have to climb something that has very little nooks and crannies, that's when it gets hard. But this is a dream tree." Sure enough, within moments, she is up about 20 feet off the ground.

Hmmm, sounds like "Lost" is a dream job.
