- Ben used to be a "terrible waiter" at a resataurant in New York City.
- He interned at the White House while in college. (*Will get the name of the politician, I remember reading this in an article and cannot find it.)
- His uncle, Robert Schenkkan, is a Pulitzer Prize Winning Playwright.
- He has an apartment in Santa Monica, California.
- He played football in high school and was a wide receiver (played another position, too, looking for it) as an Austin High Maroon in Texas.
- His last name is still legally Schenkkan. He changed his name for screen-credit purposes because there's an actor named Ben Schenkman registered with the Screen Actors Guild.
- Both his father and grandfather attended the University of Virginia.
